Coal Dredger

There were 10 to 12 local coal dredgers through the years on the Susquehanna River near Danville sweeping up from the river bottom waste that had washed down from the anthracite fields of the Wyoming Valley.  The late Charles Forney recalls his days on the Susquehanna River at Danville in this archived audio interview with Tom Magill of the Montour County Historical Society more than 35 years ago.
